Concerning the State program of agro insurance, Aldagi holds an active informative campaign across Georgia.

Today, the representatives of insurance company Aldagi met farmers of the region and provided them detailed information about the agro insurance program.

Within the project, insurance company Aldagi offers farmers in the region insurance products for grape, peach and a variety of other crops. The above-mentioned crop insurance covers the following risks: hail, excessive rainfall and storm. Any damage caused to the crops or destroyed harvest will be covered by the insurance company Aldagi. Aldagi has years of experience in agro insurance. It should be noted that Aldagi has already reimbursed financial loss of about 3 million GEL.

Agro insurance state program is managed by Agriculture Projects Management Agency. The program aims to promote the development of agriculture and establish insurance market in agro sector. Therefore, the state will cover a large amount of insurance premium (40% to 60%) for the farmers.                

For example, in terms of vine insurance, if 1 hectare provides 10 tons of harvest, value of which amounts to 12,000 GEL, the farmer will have to pay 5,1% of this amount, or 612 GEL. The rest of the premium – 408 GEL will be covered by the state. For insuring 1 ton of grape harvest, the farmer will have to pay a maximum of 61.2. GEL, while 40.8 GEL will be reimbursed by the agency.

For example, regarding peach insurance, if 1 hectare provides 23 tons of  harvest, value of which amounts to 13,800 GEL, the farmer will have to pay 3,4% of this amount, or 469.2 GEL. The rest of the premium – 703.8 GEL will be covered by the state. For insuring 1 ton of peach harvest, the farmer will have to pay a maximum of 20.4. GEL, while 30.6 GEL will be reimbursed by the agency. 

Aldagi insurance company in cooperation with MFO "Credo"  and Bank of Georgia, offers the farmers a flexible and simplified scheme of purchasing agro insurance policies. The farmers have an opportunity to apply for insurance premium funding under preferential duties either to Credo or Bank of Georgia branches across the country.
